Importance of Castor

Castor oil is more than an agricultural product—it’s a bridge to the future.

• Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF): Castor oil is an ideal feedstock for SAF, helping reduce global aviation emissions.

• Thrives in Arid Climates: Castor’s resilience makes it perfect for climate-smart farming in semi-arid regions.

• Exceptional Oil Yield: With over 40% oil content, castor is one of the highest-yielding oilseed crops per acre.

• Zero-Waste Potential: From seeds to stalks, every part of the plant serves a purpose, reinforcing circular economy models.

Planting the Seeds of Energy Independence and Prosperity

Through our partnerships with ENI and Casterra, GreenPlan International is building a new future—where rural farmers in Narok become global contributors to clean energy, and where castor fields grow not only crops, but opportunity, dignity, and hope. We are not just cultivating castor. We are cultivating possibility.
